Do you have the full paid-for dynamic plugin or just the free version that installs with D S? (I can never remember if this feature is in the free version.) In the Dynamic Clothing tab, click on the Preferences sub-tab (if you have it) and tick the box for Face-Body Intersection. This is usually turned off by default; it allows a large-mesh dynamic cloth to drape properly over small-mesh protrusions on a figure. The problem usually is that the small detailed bits of the figure are actually poking in between the larger mesh of the cloth. Note that how well this works depends a lot on how dense the cloth mesh is; as mentioned upthread, some are not very dense at all, and tend to come out a bit blocky and 'chunky' when draped over small details. Title of the thread aside, /timmins.william: Thanks for the tipps with the smoothing modifier, did help.: I should have the full version if you are refering to the one which is available in the DAZ store to purchase. But I do not see any Preferences sub-tab.

Should that be always visible or does that maybe depend on the dynamic cloth one is working with? Or could it be that I installed the free version over the paid one.

According to DIM, I have 'Dynamic Clothing Control for DAZ 4.9+' installed. On the promos for the product there are four tabs (Garment, Panel, Physics, Preferences). My Dynamic Clothing Panel shows only the first two but no preferences.

The 'About installed plugins'-Dialog shows 'Dynamic Cloth Plugin - Basic' and 'Dynamic Cloth Plugin - Control' as installed. : I should have the full version if you are refering to the one which is available in the DAZ store to purchase. Make sure you entered the serial number, make sure that you installed the control plug-in after DS initially and in any updates otherwsie it will be overwritten by the basic.

The 'About installed plugins'-Dialog shows 'Dynamic Cloth Plugin - Basic' and 'Dynamic Cloth Plugin - Control' as installed. You're definitely only supposed to see the second one in the Plugins list. Install Flash Player On Samsung Smart Tv. When the full plugin is installed, it's supposed to override the free Basic one — but sometimes DIM gets in a mess and starts to install plugins before it installs the D S program, so the full plugin registers as installed, but by the time all installation is complete, it's been replaced by the Basic version included in D S. The simplest fix is to uninstall then reinstall the full plugin, that should remove the incorrect files.

Hmm, that's weird. Are you absolutely sure the version numbers of D S and the full Dynamics plugin have the same last two numbers? Shouldn't be a problem if you're installing with DIM, but you never know. As for the serial numbers, it's been a long time since I needed to do that, I'm not sure. I thought it was in the rightmost column in About Installed Plugins, but I just looked at mine, and that column is blank for all installed plugins; even the extra ones I've bought that didn't come with the D S program installer. When Daz Studio’s new dynamic cloth system was released, I was happy with some of the simulation results I got. However, I had trouble with older V4 cloth items that were created to work with Poser. After a bit more experimentation though, I was able to get even older items to work with very satisfying results, so I am fast becoming a big fan. With dForce, I can not only use Poser dynamic dresses on Genesis figures, but also older V4 dresses that did not autofit well on Genesis.

In this tutorial, I will outline how I simulate two V4/Poser dynamic cloth items (the over-sleeves and over-skirt from ) on a Genesis 8 Female figure. The final result is shown in the image below. You may also view in my Daz Gallery. Parent both cloth items to Chest Upper in our Genesis 8 figure.• Next, parent both cloth items to Chest Upper in our Genesis 8 figure (see right). At this point, I only add in items that are necessary for the cloth simulation. More objects (or geometry) in the scene, especially on the figure, will slow down the simulation.
